History: The 15-member group has been around for about a decade and was recently seen at the Caribbean Cultural Festival at New Center Park in Detroit last weekend. 

Next: Nanou Djiapo will perform 8:15-9 p.m. Saturday on the Ford Main Stage at the African World Festival at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, 315 E. Warren in Detroit. The free, family-friendly festival is Friday-Sunday and includes headliners Eric Benet (7:30 p.m. Fri.) and the Clark Sisters (4 p.m. Sat.) plus vendors, food, a classic car show, exhibitions and more.
