Kenny Chesney lines up August Ford Field concert

The singer's Chillaxification tour includes Chesney's 11th stop at the Lions' den

Kenny Chesney is returning to Ford Field on his 2020 tour, his reps announced Tuesday. 

The date is part of Chesney's Chillaxification tour, and finds the beach-dwelling country superstar teaming with Florida Georgia Line, Old Dominion and Michael Franti & Spearhead. The show will mark Chesney's 11th at the Detroit Lions' home, and his first since August 2018. 

Kenny Chesney will return to Ford Field on Aug. 15.

Tickets for the show go on sale at 10 a.m. Oct 4 via Ticketmaster. Fans can sign up for pre-sale information here, and a pre-sale for American Express card holders begins at 10 a.m. Thursday.

Chesney's most recent album, "Songs for the Saints," was released in April 2018. He released a single, "Tip of My Tongue," in July. 

Chesney's Chillaxification outing kicks off April 18 in Arlington, Texas, and wraps Aug. 28 at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts.
