A second royal baby is due in the spring

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (aka Prince William and Kate Middleton) have confirmed their second child is due in April. Earlier in the pregnancy, Kate suffered from acute morning sickness, and a statement from the Palace says she’s improving. She also had bad morning sickness with her first pregnancy with Prince George, who turned 1 over the summer.

Members of Sleater-Kinney announce reunion

Indie rock trio Sleater-Kinney announced recently its first album since 2005 will be titled “No Cities to Love” and released on Sub Pop Records in January. The band — Janet Weiss, Corin Tucker and “Portlandia” actress Carrie Brownstein — will also embark on a U.S. and European tour in February. No Detroit date has been set.

No autopsy for Joan Rivers

The exact cause of Joan Rivers’ death may continue to be a mystery. The medical examiner concluded the cause of death was deprivation of oxygen during throat surgery. But the cause of the oxygen deprivation may never be known because her daughter, Melissa Rivers, asked that there not be an autopsy.

Bethenny Frankel returns to ‘Real Housewives’

Reality star and beverage mogul Bethenny Frankel will return to television as part of the seventh season of “The Real Housewives of New York City,” People magazine reports. Frankel became famous for being on the first three seasons of the Bravo show.

■Country songwriter Paul Craft died at age 76. Some of his biggest hits were Moe Brandy’s “Hank Williams, You Wrote My Life” and “Dropkick Me, Jesus,” which Bobby Bare hit with in 1976.

■British actress Lynda Bellingham, known as “the nation’s favourite mum,” according to the Guardian, died after a long battle with colon cancer. Bellingham, 66, died in arms of her husband, Michael Pattemore, on Sunday.

■“My Little Pony” is headed to the big screen in 2017. The colorful horses follow another popular ’80s toy line to become a film. “Jem and the Holograms” is set for a fall 2015 release.
