Oprah's Chicago-based Harpo Studios to close

Oprah Winfrey's Harpo Studios will close by the end of this year, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The media mogul will move her company's business to OWN headquarters in Los Angeles. OWN will cease shooting shows at Harpo Studios this week. Oprah also has some acting work on the horizon, including a roll in the upcoming Richard Pryor biopic. She'll play his dominant grandmother, Marie Carter, who was a brothel madam.

White Stripes release 'Satan' on wax

Garage rock favorites the White Stripes will issue its fifth studio album "Get Behind Me Satan" on vinyl this year for Record Store Day, April 18. Jack White's Third Man Records will release the first commercially-available vinyl version of the album with new artwork and one red disc and one white. The colored-vinyl versions of the release will be available only on April 18 at participating Record Store Day outlets. Less tenacious fans can get it on black vinyl later this year.

Kelly Clarkson sets July date at DTE

DTE Energy Music Theatre will be getting a piece of Kelly Clarkson this summer. The original "American Idol" winner is set to perform at the Clarkston amphitheater July 26, promoters announced Tuesday morning. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. March 14, and pre-sales begin for Citi card holders beginning March 10. Prices are TBA. The DTE date is part of Clarkson's 36-city summer tour which kicks off July 11 in Hershey, Pennsylvannia, and wraps Sept. 20 in Camden, New Jersey. Pentatonix and Eric Hutchinson will open the show. Clarkson's sixth studio album, "Piece by Piece," hits stores and digital outlets Tuesday. Speaking of "American Idol" singers, Carrie Underwood gave birth to her first child Friday. She and her husband, Mike Fisher, named the newborn Isaiah Michael Fisher.

■Academy Award-winning actress Mo'Nique will perform stand-up comedy at the Masonic Temple for "Mother's Day Laughfest" May 8. Tickets, $49-$110, will go on sale 10 a.m. Friday.

■"The Talk" co-host Sara Gilbert and wife, musician Linda Perry, also welcomed a baby boy this week. Rhodes Emilio Gilbert Perry was born Saturday. He's the first son for the couple, and joins Gilbert's other children, ages 7 and 10.

■Season three of the Netflix hit "Orange is the New Black" will premiere June 12.
