Padma Lakshmi opens up about sexual abuse

“Top Chef” host Padma Lakshmi revealed to People magazine that she was molested when she was a young girl living in Queens, New York. She was sharing a bed with a friend of her then-stepfather, which she says wasn’t unusual because her family was “used to living far too many to an apartment in India,” so the situation seemed “relatively normal.” After telling her mother about the abuse, she was sent back to India. Lakshmi says she’s sharing her story now in her memoir “Love, Loss and What We Ate,” to empower others. “If women like me don’t talk about it, who will,” she said to People.

Graham Nash says David Crosby has ‘been awful’

Musician Graham Nash made it clear to a Dutch magazine and to Billboard recently that he had no interest in a Crosby, Stills and Nash or Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young reunion or record, largely because of David Crosby. “Right now, I don’t want anything to do with Crosby at all,” he told Billboard. It’s just that simple. In my world there will never, ever be a Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young record and there will never be another Crosby, Stills & Nash record or show.” He was even more straightforward with the Dutch publication Lust for Life. “I don’t like David Crosby right now. He’s been awful for me the last two years, just (expletive) awful,” Nash said. “I’ve been there and saved his (expletives) for 45 years, and he treated me like (expletive). You can’t do that to me.”
