Chris Brown has standoff with police at his home
Hours of drama followed after beauty queen Baylee Curran called 911 from Chris Brown’s home early Tuesday morning saying the singer pulled a gun on her. Curran told TMZ she was at a gathering at Brown’s house and he pointed a gun on her and told her to leave after he saw her touching a piece of jewelry. According to Curran, Brown’s people tried to get her to sign a nondisclosure agreement about the incident, but she refused. As Los Angeles police waited for a search warrant, Brown refused to leave his home. According to reports, at one point Brown threw a duffel bag with drugs and weapons in it — including one gun — outside a window of his home. Brown, looking tired and slurring his words, posted a series of profanity-filled videos to Instagram while police waited outside. “I’m asleep half the damn night ... I just wake up, all these (expletive) helicopters, choppers all around, police out there at the gate ... what else do you want from me? I stay out of the way, take care of my daughter, do work ...” Brown went on to say he’s innocent and complained that the police don’t come fast enough when he calls them over stalkers at his house. He ended his video message chastising the police and the media for “defacing my name.” “I am a father, I am one of the best entertainers out here ... At the end of the day I’m tired of this (crap).” Once LAPD eventually obtained a search warrant and entered Brown’s home when his lawyer, Mark Geragos, was present. Brown eventually came out of his home peaefully, and no arrests were made, reports the Associated Press.
