Snoop Dogg will be celebrating Super Bowl week with two of his favorite things: worship and women. The rapper, who is working on a gospel album, will headline BET’s annual pre-Super Bowl gospel concert and the Playboy party, reports the Associated Press. The week will also feature performances by Jennifer Lopez, Pink, Cardi B and the Chainsmokers. Super Bowl LII takes place Sunday at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minnesota. JT, aka, Justin Timberlake, will hold a listening party Thursday at Paisley Park for his new album, “Man of the Woods,” to be released Friday. Other performers this week include Diddy, DJ Khaled, Kelly Clarkson, Migos, Imagine Dragons, Busta Rhymes, Dave Matthews Band, Florida Georgia Line, Ellie Goulding and Post Malone.

Ed Sheeran and his cat celebrate Grammy wins

After skipping Sunday’s Grammy Awards, Ed Sheeran posted a note of gratitude on his Instagram account and said his cat was celebrating, too, reports the Associated Press. Sheeran won Grammys for best pop solo performance for “Shape of You” and best pop vocal album. His victory for best solo performance wasn’t welcomed by everyone. Sheeran was the only male on the list, defeating stars such as Lady Gaga, Kesha and Pink. Numerous tweeters expressed their disappointment.

Oprah visits grave of woman honored in speech

Oprah Winfrey recently visited the grave of Recy Taylor, the black Alabama woman whose rape by six white men in 1944 drew national attention and whose story was highlighted in Winfrey’s recent Golden Globes speech. Winfrey said in an Instagram post that on assignment for “60 Minutes,” she ended up in the town of Abbeville where Taylor suffered injustice, endured and died in December just before her 98th birthday, reports the Associated Press.

Omarosa joins ‘Big Brother’

Omarosa Manigault Newman is following up her year in the White House with a stint on “Celebrity Big Brother,” reports the Associated Press. CBS unveiled the cast of the reality show’s upcoming season Sunday with a commercial that aired during the Grammy Awards. Other contestants in the house include basketball star Metta World Peace and actress Keshia Knight Pulliam.
