Lorde apologizes for Whitney Houston bathtub post
Pop star Lorde is super sorry after she posted a photo of a relaxing-looking bathtub with Whitney Houston lyrics as the caption. “And iii will always love you,” she captioned her Instagram post. The lyrics are from Houston’s 1992 cover of the Dolly Parton song, “I Will Always Love You.” Houston died in a bathtub in 2012 and her daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, also was found unresponsive in a bathtub and later died in 2015. Lorde, 21, apologized and called herself “an idiot.” “Extremely extremely poor chosen quote,” she wrote. “I’m so sorry for offending anyone — I hadn’t even put this together I was just excited to take a bath.”
