Debbie Allen to hold dance auditions

Debbie Allen, the 68-year-old dancer and choreographer who directs and acts in ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy,” is coming to town Sunday to audition young and old alike for the Carr Center’s Summer Dance Intensive. Auditions will be 2-4:30 p.m. on the second floor of Marygrove College’s Liberal Arts Building at 8425 W. McNichols, Detroit. For those accepted, the intensive will run from July 7 - 21, and include instructors from the Debbie Allen Dance Intensive.

Ballet star Lauren Anderson to direct 'Coppelia' ​

The Bloomfield Hills Performing Arts Center will host ballet great LaurenAnderson’s directorial debut with “Coppelia” at 7 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday, in conjunction with the Link School of the Arts. Anderson, 53, was the first African-American prima ballerina in any major American company. She will conduct “ballet talks” one hour before each performance. Allison Mack busted in sex cult

Allison Mack, who played Chloe Sullivan in “Smallville,” has been arrested for her alleged role in the sex-slave cult Nxivm, according to Page Six. Mack, 35, was to appear Friday in federal court in Brooklyn. The actress was reportedly lured into the group by fellow “Smallville” star Kristin Kreuk, and appears to have collaborated with Nxivm founder Keith Raniere, who was also arrested. According to the criminal complaint, Mack was Raniere’s personal slave, and acted as “master” to other slaves — many of them women she lured into the secret society.

‘Wake Me Up’s’ Avicii dead at 28

Sweedish deejay and producer Avicii (aka Tim Bergling) died Friday in Muscat, Oman, according to People. The “Wake Me Up” hitmaker was 28 years old. No cause of death has been released. Two years ago, his health caused Avicii to retire from touring. He’d long suffered from problems associated with over-drinking, including acute pancreatitis, which in 2014 resulted in his gallbladder and appendix being removed.

Dream come true: Man steals beer truck

A man wearing nothing but American-flag gym shorts stole a Coors Beer truck Thursday morning in Santa Rosa, California, and led police on a wild chase through northern California. According to police, Matt Hermsmeyer, 46, hopped into the truck’s cab while the driver was making a delivery to a liquor store.
