Amp Fiddler celebrates 60th birthday at the Willis Show Bar

Musical funk master, Amp Fiddler, celebrated his 60th birthday Wednesday night with a festive private bash at the Willis Show Bar. Amp got the party started by performing a lively 30-minute set with his band. The house was filled with friends, family and well-known musicians, including the ladies known as Dames Brown, who returned home to Detroit last week after a lengthy European tour with Fiddler. Amp also used the occasion to celebrate the life of his recently deceased brother, Charles Fiddler

'Blush & Bubbles' at Saks raises money for Windsor organization

One hundred and fifty well-dressed women, mostly from Windsor, filled the second-floor designer department at Saks Fifth Avenue in Troy on Wednesday at an event benefiting Windsor's Transition to Betterness. Themed “Blush & Bubbles,” rose champagne flowed like water, delectable hors d’oeuvres by Forte Belanger were served, and Saks presented an exciting fashion show featuring beautiful summer garments from the likes of Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci and Stella McCartney. The ladies sipped champagne and shopped for hours, raising lots of money for T2B’s Comfort Tote and Kids Kicking Cancer programs. The event was chaired by Stephanie Zekelman, Deeanne Cervini and Doris Lapico.
