The Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson split: what went wrong

Celebrity-watchers and gossips were abuzz Sunday night and Monday with the news that singer Ariana Grande and comedian Pete Davidson have split up and broken off their engagement. The pair had been dating for about five months, and in June the "Saturday Night Live" comic proposed with a $93,000 pear-shaped diamond ring, and they had purchased a $16 million apartment. A source close to the couple said the relationship was "way too much too soon." Davidson got two Grande-related tattoos shortly after they hooked up, something his tattoo artist warned him against. Jon Mesa told the New York Post that after he covered up a previous girlfriend's tattoo on Davidson, he suggested that the comedian maybe not get one for Grande until they're married. The couple, who were in Detroit for Aretha Franklin's funeral, raised speculation when they didn't attend the Emmys at all. Grande has reportedly had a rough few months with the apparent overdose death of ex-boyfriend Mac Miller. She canceled her performance on "Saturday Night Live" as well as an appearance at a charity event

Fleetwood Mac disputes Lindsey Buckingham lawsuit

After former Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham filed a lawsuit alleging the band kicked him off the new tour, the other members of the classic rock group are ready to contest. A spokesperson for Fleetwood Mac said the band "looks forward to their day in court." The suit, which names band mates Mick Fleetwood, Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie and John McVie, claims that Buckingham was told five days after the group's Radio City Music Hall show in January that the group would tour without him (replaced by Mike Campbell and Neil Finn). Buckingham says he would have been paid at least $12 million from the tour.
