'Springsteen on Broadway' soundtrack coming soon

Can't get into "Springsteen on Broadway," the sold-out, one-man show with Bruce Springsteen, 69, and his music? Columbia Records will release a two-disc soundtrack Dec. 14, to be followed two days later with a filmed version on Netflix. The fabulously popular show has been extended three times. "The Boss" initially planned to exit in February, reports the Associated Press, but finally pushed the closing to Dec. 15. The well-reviewed performance at the Walter Kerr Theatre consists of more than a dozen songs, and Springsteen's stories about growing up in New Jersey. Tickets have been fetching more than $1,000 on the resale market.

Prince lives on in Timberwolves uniforms

Prince may be gone, but his "Purple Rain" spirit lives on in new uniforms for the Minnesota Timberwolves. On Thursday, the team unveiled Prince-inspired City Edition uniforms created in collaboration between the Timberwolves, Nike and the Prince estate. Believe it or not, Prince, who died at 57, was a huge hoops fan -- and a player himself. The new jerseys include a paisley leaf in tribute to Prince’s Paisley Park studio and purple details. The team also will also make contributions to causes favored by the "Little Red Corvette" author. The jerseys will make their debut Nov. 16, the Associated Press reports, when the Timberwolves face the Portland Trail Blazers at Target Center.
