Bob Seger appears on Letterman Monday
Tune in alert: Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band will appear on CBS' "Late Night with David Letterman" Monday night. The show airs at 11:35 p.m. on Detroit's WWJ-TV (Channel 62).
It's only Seger's second appearance on the "Letterman" show, which will end its run in May.
After performing at Letterman's Broadway studio, Seger and the band will head to Buffalo, N.Y., for a show Wednesday, and then play New York City's Madison Square Garden Friday.
Seger has not only been performing to sold-out houses for his 2014-15 "Ride Out" tour, which includes the J. Geils Band on some dates, but the critics have been effusive in their praise, describing how happy Seger appears to be on stage.
While praising his deep catalog of hits, several cuts off his new album, "Ride Out," have drawn raves as well, including "Hey Gypsy," "California Stars" and "The Fireman's Talkin'."
The tour has been extended several times, and, runs into early March now. The next pass he makes anywhere near Detroit is Jan. 20 in Toledo, but Seger management promises more dates will be announced, including the all-important Detroit concert.
See below for the tour itinerary.
