The actor appears to be filming for his upcoming Disney+ documentary series

We don't get a ton of high-profile celebrity visits around Metro Detroit, aside from musicians on tour, or those opening businesses here, like guys with the last name Wahlberg.

So when actor Jeff Goldblum was seen around Detroit this week, it caused a flutter on social media.

The staff at Corktown restaurant Gold Cash Gold posted for a photo with the "Jurassic Park" star, who popped in over the weekend.

According to a rep from the restaurant, Goldblum was in town to film his show "The World According to Jeff Goldblum," a new documentary series set to air on Disney+ this fall when the new streaming service launches.

According to Disney+, the show will center on something universally loved like ice cream or sneakers, and Goldblum will explore the history, science and connections behind it.

While dining at Gold Cash Gold, he was said to have eaten mostly small plates from the chef-driven restaurant.

Goldblum was also seen at the Slow Roll bike ride Monday night, according to many sources on social media.
