‘Masquerade for Hope’ charity gala aids homeless kids

Grace Centers of Hope will host its annual charity gala, “Masquerade for Hope,” at Orchard Lake Country Club from 6-10 p.m. Saturday in an effort to raise funds for its “Hands of Hope” Childcare Center, a Pontiac-based facility that offers programs and specialized care for homeless children.

Pastor Kent W. Clark, CEO of Grace Centers of Hope, says, “According to the Michigan Coalition Against Homelessness, on any given night there are more than 14,820 children under the age of 10 who are homeless in Michigan.”

“Masquerade for Hope,” presented by Beaumont Health System and Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, will feature Heather Catallo, a WXYZ-TV (Channel 7) reporter, as emcee.

Highlights include a dinner created by Marc Dixon, Orchard Lake Country Club’s executive chef, a silent auction and entertainment by the Detroit Flyhouse Circus.

Tickets, $125 per person, are available online at gracecentersofhope.org, or by calling (855) HELP-GCH, ext. 1123.

Orchard Lake Country Club is at 5000 W. Shore in Orchard Lake.
