Curious to see inside the Charles T. Fisher mansion before it’s transformed into the Junior League of Detroit’s 2018 Designers’ Show House later this year? Your chance is almost here.

Guests will get to see inside the 18,000-square-foot mansion during the Junior League’s Sneak A Peek weekend April 28-29. Tickets are $10 and will be sold at the door.

Afterward, dozens of interior designers and landscape designers will begin their work, transforming the mansion room by room. The Designers’ Show House will run from Sept. 13 through Oct. 7.

The Charles T. Fisher mansion was built in 1922 for Charles and Sarah Fisher. Charles was one of the founders of the Fisher Body Co. It’s the largest home in Detroit’s Historic Boston-Edison neighborhood.

Designed by architect George D. Mason in an English Tudor style, the mansion has 14 bedrooms, 14 bathrooms, six fireplaces and a solarium. Actor Hill Harper bought the house last year.

Proceeds from the Designers’ Show House, the junior league’s largest fundraiser, will go toward grants and community programs, including its Project Eat initiative.
