A good app, a good event and a good drink
One good app
In just a few weeks, Metro Detroiters will have the opportunity to save at least 10 percent on every meal when dining at restaurants serving locally grown ingredients. Grubbable, a new mobile app in Detroit, grubbable.com, which launches at the end of the month, will allow socially and health conscious diners to receive discounts. The app will have nearly 60 restaurants to choose from and the network continues to grow weekly, including Brooklyn St. Local, Cliff Bell’s, The Rattlesnake Club, Craft Work, Due Venti, Forest Grill, Le Petit Zinc and many more. Visit the website for information and a confirmed launch date.
One good cocktail
While we wait for the daffodils to appear, here’s a lovely spring cocktail from thekitchn.com to enjoy
One good event
April 11-12 is Michigan wine weekend and, to celebrate Michigan Wine Month, the wineries along the southeast Michigan Pioneer Wine Trail (pioneerwinetrail.com) will feature a dish prepared by a local chef and paired with their featured wine. The nine participating wineries include Burgdorf’s in Haslett, Flying Otter in Adrian, Pentamere in Tecumseh and Sandhill Crane in Jackson and feature such dishes as lobster bisque, Thai chicken satay, and strawberry pecan salad. Tickets are $30 and include one tasting glass. For winery locations and tickets available until Wed., visit http://pioneer-wine-trail-events.mybigcommerce.com/michigan-wine-celebration-april-11-12/.
