Good stuff: A quality cooler, a ‘man crate’ and a cooking tip
One good cooler
How to keep all that food and drink chilled for your summer party? French’s Tabletop Cooler is made of heavy-duty plastic with inflatable sides and a 1-inch air-insulated base, it’s lightweight, holds a lot (fits a 30-by-72 inch banquet table and holds several bags of ice) and can be used over and over. Simply cover the cooler with a plastic tablecloth when food is not being served to keep the bugs out and the cold in. It can also be used as a beverage table. For best results, keep in a shaded area away from direct sunlight. To order, visit frenchstabletopcooler.com. Price is $39.95.
One good gift
Gift baskets don’t seem really a guy thing with all the wicker, balloons and bows, that’s why Man Crates make the perfect gift for Pop. Man Crate gifts include all the boy-favorites from bacon, beer and bourbon to cigars, coffee and jerky, as well as fishing and golf supplies, bar ware and grill supplies shipped in a sealed recycled wooden crate with a laser-etched crowbar included. There are no ugly ties, no cologne samples and no wrapping paper, just stuff guys love. Prices run from $19.99 (grilling rubs) to $199.99 (road kit). Same-day shipping offered for crates ordered before 12 pm PST. Call (866) 902-7260 or visit mancrates.com to view catalog and order.
One good tip
When transporting cooked foods inside, use a dutch oven or a large pot (depending on the amount of stuff you grill) with a lid. It will help keep your barbecue moist, juicy, and warm until it’s time to chow down.
