Good Stuff: Sauces, a panini press and onion rings
Good barbecue sauces
King’s Hawaiian, maker of the popular and sweet rolls, has come out with a line of island-inspired barbecue sauces. The sauces, Original Sweet Pineapple, Smoked Bacon, a spicy Big Island Lava and Kona Coffee, are available online at kingshawaiian.com. They’ll be available in major retailers, including Kroger and Meijer, this summer. Cost is $5 per bottle.
One good panini press
Craving a delicious Italian panini sandwich and you’re cooking outside? Make one right on your grill with a cast-iron Panini press. It’s constructed to maintain heat so that your sandwiches cook evenly and quickly. Any leftover oils and fats pool in the reserve at the bottom of the pan. Available at charbroil.com/panini-press. Cost is $29.99.
Good onion rings
Farm Rich has come up with a new flavor of onion rings that can be baked or fried at home. Sea salt and black pepper onion rings come with a side of Ranch dipping sauce for an extra indulgence. Fun fact: The first known published recipe for onion rings was a Crisco ad in a 1933 issue of the New York Times Magazine. Available at Sam’s Club. A 24-ounce carton is priced around $5.99. A coupon for 75-cents off is available at farmrich.com/waystosave.
