Good Stuff: New almond cookies, beer and a grill
One good cookie
The Maumee, Ohio, company Almondina has released new takes on its crunch almond cookie. The “Toastees” line includes Cranberry Almond, Seasame Almond, Lemon Poppy Almond and Coconut Orange Almond. Toastees by Almondina are being carried by all Kroger stores in the state and cost $3.99.
One good (branded) grill
Weber-Stephen Products LLC is jumping on the branding bandwagon and has established a licensing agreement with the University of Michigan and five other NCAA teams. The company is offering its portable Q1200 gas grill featuring signature colors and logos. It will be available this summer at weber.com/QU. And sorry, Michigan State fans, MSU didn’t make the Weber-grill cut.
One good summer brew
In time for Memorial Day, Traveler Beer is reaching into its time capsule to re-release a fan favorite — Time Traveler Strawberry Shandy. Available for a limited time, the wheat ale is made with real strawberries. It’s available in the Traveler Beer Summertime Variety Pack alongside Traveler Grapefruit Shandy, Curious Traveler Lemon Shandy and a new IPA Shandy. Retail is $14.99-$15.99 at major retailers for a 12-bottle variety pack. The Strawberry Shandy is also being sold in taverns throughout southeast Michigan.
