Good Stuff: Pasta sauce, wheatgrass, plus containers
One good sauce
The pasta sauce mainstay Ragu has unveiled a new line of Homestyle sauces with no high-fructose corn syrup, no artifical colors and no artifical flavors. The new Homestyle sauces are offered in five thick and hearty varieties —Traditional, Meat, Mushroom, Roasted Garlic and Four Cheese. Sauces are available at retailers nationwide including Kroger, Wal-Mart Supercenters, and Target stores. Cost is $2.49 per jar.
One good organic drink
NutriBlade has come up with combining the benefits of freshly juiced organic wheatgrass in a grab-and-go form. Wheatgrass is jam-packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. Each bottle contains the equivalent of five wheatgrass shots and doesn’t contain any artifical flavors or colors. NutriBlade is available in four flavors and can be purchased at Whole Foods, CVS and Amazon.com. Cost is $2.99 a bottle.
One good food container
Rubbermaid has come up with a new container designed to keep produce fresher up to 80 percent longer than traditional packaging. The FreshWorks Produce Saver helps reduce moisture and spoilage of items left in the fridge. Cost is $9.99 to $15.99, depending on the size of the container. Available at Wal-Mart, Bed Bath & Beyond, Costo, Kroger, Target and online at rubbermaid.com/freshworks.
