Good stuff: Veggie chips, a rolling pin and spices
Good vegetable chips
Adding to its Uprooted Vegetable Chip line, Kettle Brand is introducing two quintessentially fall flavors: Chipotle Honey and Sweet Potato Pie. Both flavors have the classic Kettle crunch and are cooked with a combination of spices, including cinnamon, chipotle peppers and honey. Both flavors are hitting store shelves in major outlets, including Kroger and Meijer, in early November. Cost is around $3.80 for a 6.5-ounce bag.
One good rolling pin
Just in time for the pie-making season is a new take on an ancient baking tool: the rolling pin (MSRP: $24.99). This tool will make it hard to believe you ever used a tired wooden roller. The new T-Fal Ingenio Non-stick Rolling Pin is a must-have tool for everything from cookies to pizza to pies. The nonstick surface keeps dough from sticking to the pin and the unique “kickstand” not only elevates it from the counter for sanitation, but also prevents it from rolling away. Cost is $24.99. Available online at amazon.com.
Good new spices
Spice giant McCormick’s has pepper going bold with a new release of flavored peppers. New offerings include black pepper seasoned with Sriracha, a spicy pepper blend, chipotle, Worcestershire and smoke flavor. Available at retailers nationwide now. Cost is $3.99 per bottle.
