Tiles bloom anywhere

No green thumb? No problem. Dancing Eye Gallery in downtown Northville offers an impressive array of decorative tiles, including those with a garden theme like the floral varieties by Jeff Guido of Full Circle Studio. Store owner Theresa Schierloh says, “You can bring the outdoors in with the beauty of handmade tiles. They’re great for a centerpiece for any kind of event or for adding a botanical feel to your home.” Floral tiles shown cost around $12 - $40. Go to dancingeye.com or call 248-449-7086.

Stinger zinger

Don’t let those pesky bugs ruin your outdoor activities. For maximum mosquito protection, the Stinger Mosquito Kill System combines five powerful mosquito elimination technologies: black UV light, LED lights, thermal and octenol lures and clog-free kill grid. The system kills two times more biting mosquitoes and attracts and kills those that may transmit the West Nile Virus. It also features Sundown Sensor and Mosquito Mode for energy-efficient operation and covers up to one acre. It retails for around $79.99 and is available at Wal-Mart.
