Enjoy Latin concert in Yamasaki-designed home
Talk about a perfect combination: A Detroit home designed by iconic architect Minoru Yamasaki and a concert by some of Metro Detroit's hottest Latin musicians, Orquesta La Inspiracion. Both will come together for the latest installment of Palmer Woods' Music in Homes series at 8 p.m. Saturday. Orquesta La Inspiracion, founded by Ozzie Rivera, is a large ensemble of the region's most talented Latin musicians who will keep the party going with salsa, merengue and Afro-Carribean jazz. Tickets are $50; dinner is included. The exact address will be revealed after you purchase your tickets. Call (313) 891-2514 or visit palmerwoods.org.
Online design firm introduces furniture collection
Since 2014, online interior design firm Laurel & Wolf has helped customers put together the pieces of their own homes to create just the right look. Now the online firm is branching into the furniture business themselves. This spring, Laurel & Wolf introduced its first furniture line, Lady Wolf, which includes upholstered beds and chairs. “Based on data from our shopping system, we’ve seen some clear opportunities where the market isn’t providing the right products,” said CEO Leura Fine in a press release. “With Lady Wolf, we are excited to leverage that data to provide even better options for our designers and clients. We know that creating the perfect space for our clients comes down to giving our designers access to the best pieces.” The collection is available online only at on laurelandwolf.com. Pieces start at $450.
Five homes open their doors for Huntington Woods tour

Tickets are $20 in advance at www.hwwl.org or $25 on June 3rd, available at the Huntington Woods Library, 26415 Scotia Road, or the Huntington Woods Gillham
