The Ypsilanti Heritage Foundation presents the 41st Annual Historic Home Tour from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. This year offers something for everyone with two historic Normal Park homes, a mid-town Victorian and a Queen Anne work-in-progress. In addition, the area’s entrepreneurial spirit will be highlighted by a trip to the Brick and Mortar Modern General Store in Depot Town that occupies one of the historic Follett House storefronts. Southfield Garden Walk is Sunday
The Southfield Parks and Garden Club will hold the 12th Annual Southfield Garden Walk from 2 p.m. -5 p.m. on Sunday featuring several gardens in the Ravines neighborhood. Check-in will be at 22500 Lake Ravines Drive. Shuttle service will make a continuous loop, so participants can view the gardens and get back on the bus for the next stop. If you plan to tour the Michigan Central Depot this weekend, keep an eye out for local candlemaker Asia Newson. Newson, owner and CEO of Super Business Girl (and only a teenager), is one of several local artists and makers who will be selling their wares and doing demonstrations as part of this weekend’s tours, all organized by the depot’s new owner Ford Motor Co. Miniature Makers' Workshop selling its inventory
After 35 years serving the miniature enthusiast community, the former Miniature Makers' Workshop is selling its remaining inventory of dollhouses, figures, furniture and mini-decor.
