Troy Garden Club hosts 44th annual walk

Seven private gardens will show off their best summer style at the Troy Garden Club's 44th annual Garden Walk on July 11. This year's theme is "Invitation to the Gardens" and the walk will also include artists painting to the gardens. The walk, which begins at Troy Historic Village, runs from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. and  5:00-8:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance, or $15 the day of the walk. Deck stain can lower deck temperatures

What's worse than stepping in hot sand in the summer? Stepping on a hot deck. Now Sherwin-Williams has introduced a new line of stain that uses innovative technology to lower deck temperatures but as much as 20 degrees? Using something called Feel Cooler color technology, its new SuperDeck Solid Color Stain is available in 20 rich colors that help keep decks cooler to walk on, compared to conventional colors, according to a press release.
