‘Vacationing Plants’ wins Homestyle Garden Contest grand prize

What a summer of beautiful gardens. So many of you shared pictures of your handiwork with us — traditional gardens, vegetable gardens, container gardens, secret gardens and more. We received more than 600 entries from roughly 350 people this year. The Homestyle team narrowed the field to 13 finalists and readers picked our grand prize winner for 2018. And that is Cathy Dueweke of Grosse Pointe Farms. Dueweke’s photo, “Vacationing Plants,” reflects a big trend these days, container gardening, especially for those with limited space. Dueweke wins a $200 English Gardens gift card. Thank you to everyone who submitted photos. We can’t wait to see what you’ll share next year.
