Video: Aretha Franklin's national anthem causes a stir

Before kickoff at the Lions vs Vikings game Thursday, Aretha Franklin sang the national anthem at Ford Field. And she certainly put her own spin on the performance.

The Queen of Soul, Detroit's own Aretha Franklin out on the field for a sound check and waving to the crowd before she sings the National Anthem before the Lions take on the Vikings on Thanksgiving Day.

The soulful Detroit legend played piano while belting out "The Star-Spangled Banner" for 4 minutes and 35 seconds.

The reaction on social media was swift, with some loving the rendition. Others, not so much:
