Two individuals were charged Friday with multiple armed robberies in three cities, according to the Warren Police Department.

An employee at 7-Eleven on 10 Mile in Warren was stocking shelves at 1 a.m. on Dec. 21 when a suspect pressed a gun into his back and demanded he empty the cash register, Warren police said. Two fled the scene on foot leaving the employee unharmed.

Officers believe the same pair robbed a 7-Eleven in Roseville 15 minutes prior. Detectives were able to develop the identities of the two suspects and used social media to locate a possible address in Eastpointe, police said.

Antonio Woods, 20 and Jazimine Ellis, 19, were arrested Thursday night, interviewed and admitted to the Warren robbery as well as four additional robberies in Roseville and St. Clair Shores, police said.

The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office authorized warrants for armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery against each. Their bond was set at $2 million each. A preliminary exam was scheduled for Jan. 25 in 37th District Court.

“I am proud of Warren’s officers and how they were able to use technology to solve this crime and the robberies in two neighboring communities. We will continue to use every resource available to make our community safer," Bill Dwyer, Warren Police Commissioner, said in a press release.
