A quiet residential street became a horrific crime scene Friday with news that four people — a couple and their adult children — died in what police are describing as a triple murder-suicide.

Keego Harbor Police have identified the four family members found dead after a murder-suicide Friday.

Officers were contacted Friday by a relative who had concerns for the residents. Inside the house, located on the 2300 block of Cass Lake Road, officers found four bodies identified as Daniel Stuart, 47, his wife Lauren Stuart, 45, and their children, Bethany, 24, and Steven, 27.

Police said each victim died of gunshot wounds, according to a press release. The on-scene investigation and autopsy at the medical examiner's office "determined that Lauren Stuart shot and killed her family members before turning the gun on herself."

Police said the handgun used was recovered at the scene and the investigation for Lauren Stuart's motive is still ongoing.
