Man charged in Northville stabbing
A 51-year-old Monroe man was charged Friday in the stabbing of a 44-year-old Northville Township resident.
Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy charged Christian Andrew Gardner in connection with the stabbing. He faces charges of assault with intent to murder, felonious assault, resisting and obstructing the police and domestic violence second offense.
Northville Township police were called to a home in the 19500 block of Northridge Drive in Northville Township at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, where they found the victim standing outside, bleeding from three abdominal stab wounds.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Police allege Gardner stabbed the victim multiple times. They arrested him in the home and took him into custody.
Police said Gardner and the victim were acquainted.
Gardner is expected to be formally arraigned Friday afternoon in 35th District Court.
