Waterford Township police are seeking the public's help in tracking down a man who used counterfeit $20 bills to make purchases in August, officials said Friday.

The unidentified suspect described as a black male who wore a Champion T-shirt allegedly passed 59 counterfeit bills in Waterford and is believed to have done so in other nearby towns, officials said.

The passing of bills happened on Aug. 17.
