Two Detroit police officers and a female driver were injured Wednesday night in a collision on the city’s east side.

The crash was reported about 9:45 p.m. near Alter and Frankfort. No other cars were involved beyond the marked cruiser and the woman’s vehicle, said Sgt. Eren Stephens of the Detroit Police Department.

Police were not releasing details Wednesday night about what led to the collision, but “the circumstances are being investigated,” she said.

The officers and the other driver all were hospitalized in temporary serious condition Wednesday night, Stephens said.
