Detroit — Police are reporting Thursday the safe recovery of a 9-year-old boy who went missing from his home on Wednesday morning.

Authorities had appealed to the pubic to be on the lookout for Kemina Strawder who was last seen after walking away from his home in the 18500 block of Appoline at about 7:30 a.m.

According to police, the child had been expelled from Palmer Park Preparatory Elementary School and was wearing a white button down shirt, khaki pants and lime green and black gym shoes at the time he went missing.
