Man dies, 15-year-old hurt Wednesday after shots fired into crowd in 6000 block of Larkins
One person died and another was wounded Wednesday night after a shooting on Detroit’s southwest side, city police said.
Officers were dispatched to the 6000 block of Larkins about 8:30 p.m. on a report of a person shot in the street.
“An altercation occurred and someone began firing shots into the crowd,” police said in a statement.
Two victims were transported to a local hospital. One, described as a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead, police said. Another, a 15-year-old boy, was wounded, but “his condition is unknown at this time,” the statement read.
Police said no suspects have been identified and an investigation is ongoing. Other details were not released.
