Detroit police released video footage of a vehicle wanted in connection with a hit-and-run accident last weekend on the city's west side that left a pedestrian critically injured.

Witnesses flagged down officers about 10:40 p.m. May 10 near Plymouth and Montrose, the police department said in a statement.

"Officers observed the 38-year-old female victim lying in the eastbound travel lanes of Plymouth Road," the statement read. "The victim was transported to the local hospital by Medic Units, where she was listed in critical condition."

Police described the vehicle involved as a forest green 1996-2002 Chevy Express conversion van with a high top. A description of the motorist was not available.

The driver's side mirror is missing and one of the two light bulbs on the right tail-light stopped working, police said.

Anyone who has seen the van or has information regarding the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK UP.
