Motorcyclist dies after accident in Detroit
A motorcyclist died Tuesday night after an accident with another biker on Detroit’s east side, police said.
The two were on Gratiot near Mount Elliott about 9 p.m. “and sideswiped each other,” said Sgt. Cassandra Lewis, a spokeswoman for the Detroit Police Department. “One of the bikes lost control.”
That driver hit a lamp post and was pronounced dead; the other left the scene, Lewis said.
A full description of that person wasn’t immediately available, she said.
