1 killed, 3 injured in Detroit hit and run

Detroit — One woman was killed and three other people were injured in a hit and run crash on the city’s east side Saturday night.

According to the Detroit Police Department, the crash occurred at about 10:50 p.m. at the intersection of Joseph Campau and Nevada.

Police said a red 202 GMC Envoy traveling westbound on Nevada at a high rate speed ran through a stop sign or a red light and struck a red 2008 Dodge Charger traveling northbound on Joseph Campau.

A 41-year-old woman was killed in the crash. The injured included two men ages 43 and 29 and a 15-year-old girl. The driver of the Envoy fled the scene on foot.
