Two Detroit police officers and an 84-year-old woman were injured Tuesday night after their cars collided on the city’s west side.

The officers were en route to a crime scene with their lights and sirens activated about 8:20 p.m. near Livernois and Curtis when the driver “turned into them and they struck her car,” said Sgt. Cassandra Lewis, a spokeswoman for the Detroit Police Department.

Both officers and the driver, whose names were not released, were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, she said.
