Detroit — A 41-year-old Clinton Township man died early Wednesday morning from injuries sustained in a car crash on eastbound Interstate 94, near Van Dyke.

According to the Michigan State Police, a 2001 Saturn, which had lost a tire while driving and became disabled on the freeway, was rear-ended by a 2002 Pontiac that wasn’t able to stop

Michigan State Police troopers were dispatched at 4 a.m. Wednesday to the scene. While the driver of the Pontiac received non-life threatening injuries in the crash, the driver of the Saturn, Gregory Morris, was transported to a local hospital and later died.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, according to police.
