Detroit police are seeking the public’s help to find an 87-year-old man reported missing Wednesday afternoon.

Franklin Clements was last seen around 3:30 p.m. in the 7700 block of Burnette on the city’s west side, driving a white 2005 Cadillac with the license plate number BQR-3994, police said in a statement. He had told his wife he was “going to Lansing to collect lottery winnings,” the notice read.

It was unclear Wednesday night if he was a lottery winner.

Police said he has congestive heart failure, takes several medications for various ailments and shows early signs of dementia.

Clements is described as 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing 165 pounds, with a medium complexion, black/gray hair and glasses. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap with “God Loves You” on it, a black T-shirt, black pants and black shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Detroit Police Department at (313) 596-5200.
