Police: 2 teens hurt in Detroit drive-by shooting
Detroit police are investigating a drive-by shooting that left two teens injured Tuesday evening on the city’s northeast side.
The youths were outside a home in the 15400 block of Fairmount, near East State Fair, about 8 p.m. when a Chevrolet TrailBlazer pulled up and “someone started firing shots, striking both victims,” said Sgt. Cassandra Lewis, a spokeswoman for the Detroit Police Department.
The teens, both males, were treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, she said. No one else was reported hurt in the shooting.
Investigators did not release a description of the suspects involved or additional details about the incident.
