Detroit police are seeking tips from the public to help find a person wanted in connection with a robbery this month on the city’s west side.

A 68-year-old woman was entering a business near West McNichols and Wyoming at 10:20 a.m. Sept. 14 when a man “approached her, reached over and snatched her gold-toned necklace with purple and clear stones,” police said in a statement.

He then fled on foot and was seen entering a vehicle nearby, police said.

Investigators on Friday released still images of the man, described as around 25 years old, 6 feet tall, with a medium complexion.

Anyone with information on the suspect, his whereabouts or the crime is asked to call the Detroit Police Department at (313) 596-1240, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP or leave an anonymous tip on the DPD Connect app.
