Driver dies after rollover on Detroit’s west side
A 23-year-old woman died early Sunday morning on the city’s west side after the car she was driving rolled over and burst into flames.
The woman was speeding near Schaefer and Lyndon around 2:30 a.m., police said, when she lost control of the vehicle.
She and her passenger were trapped inside the Buick Rendezvous. The passenger escaped and tried to free the driver but couldn’t as the vehicle burned, police said.
