Detroit police are seeking the public’s help to find two people wanted in connection with an armed robbery on the city’s west-side last month.

A 38-year-old man and 39-year-old woman were walking in the 400 block of Michigan Avenue about 11 p.m. Sept. 22, when a blue van pulled up beside them, police said in a statement.

“One of the suspects exited the vehicle, approached the victims and demanded their money and personal property at gunpoint,” the statement read.

Once the pair handed over a wallet, credit cards, an undisclosed amount of money and miscellaneous items, the suspect fled, police said.

Investigators this week released still images of a suspect and vehicle involved.

The suspect is described as an African-American male in his 20s with twisted braids and a slim build. He was last seen driving a blue van.

Police did not have a full description of the second suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Detroit Police Department Criminal Investigation Unit at (313) 596-1616 or Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 1-800-SPEAK UP.
