Detroit — Mark your calendars!

The 36th District Court has announced it will hold a two-day holiday sales event in which it will waive all late and warrant fees on outstanding balances owed on traffic tickets.

The fee waiver program will be held from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday at the court, which is located at 421 Madison Ave., on the northeast corner of Madison and Brush.

“Instead of going to the mall, we are encouraging people to take advantage of this one-time opportunity to restore their driving privileges and save hundreds of dollars on each ticket,” Chief Judge Nancy M. Blount said. “The New Year is a time for new beginnings, and we are trying to help people start the year off with a clean slate.”

The court accepts cash, credit cards (VISA or Master Card gift cards), money orders or checks. Visit the 36th District Court’s website at 36thdistrictcourt.org for more details.
