Online video motivates Detroit youth to serve homeless

Detroit

High school students from Westside Christian Academy prepared and served hot meals for the homeless Thursday. The students from the private, K-12 school on Bramell in Detroit were inspired by a viral online video that showed a fast food worker taunting a homeless man and wanted to let those living on the streets know they are not forgotten and shouldn’t be shamed, according to school officials. The meals were served at the rotating shelter at Mount Lebanon Strathmoor Church on Puritan.
