Man wanted for child sex crimes arrested in Detroit
Detroit — A 33-year-old man wanted for child sex crimes in Michigan and Wisconsin has been arrested while trying to enter Canada.
The man was arrested Saturday by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers working at the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel after he was refused entry into Canada by the Canada Border Services Agency.
A news release from U.S. Customs and Border Protection says checks on national databases and fingerprints confirmed the man was a positive match to records for possession and transportation of child pornography.
The man was turned over to agents from Homeland Security Investigations.
