Tips sought to find 2 missing Detroit teens

Detroit police are seeking the public’s help to find two teens reported missing this month.

De’Shawnte Talley, 14, was last seen Jan. 12 in the 19100 block of Algonac on the city’s northeast side.

The teen, who has run away several times before, left voluntarily, police said in a statement Monday.

She is described as an African-American, 5 feet 3 inches tall, about 90 pounds, with long black hair extensions and a ring in her lower lip. Investigators said she was in good mental and physical condition.

Meanwhile, relatives told police they last saw 13-year-old Marnesha Davenport at about 8 a.m. Jan. 20 leaving her home in the 9100 block of Abington on the city’s west side.

Police described her as African-American, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, 140 pounds, with a light complexion, brown eyes and black hair. The teen was last seen wearing a black pea-coat.

Officials released photos of both youths Monday in a bid to generate tips.
