A lockdown has been lifted at Cass Technical High School following a shooting in the area.

Police said a 20-year-old man was shot around 11:10 a.m. in the area of 2nd Avenue and Peterboro Street, two blocks from the high school. The victim was taken to Detroit Receiving Hospital where he was in critical condition, police said.

The victim has been uncooperative with police, said Detroit Police Officer Jennifer Moreno. Police do not have a suspect, she said.

The school was placed on a temporary lockdown as a precautionary measure, officials said.
